About KidsOrNot
Some questions are too big for a simple yes or no.
The question "Should I have children?" is one of them.
For some, the answer comes easily. For others, it's taken away by circumstance. But for a growing number of people, the answer isn't clear at all. Instead of certainty, they find themselves caught in a quiet tug-of-war between what they want, what they fear, what they've been told, and what they still don't know.
Maybe that's you.
Maybe you've spent late nights thinking about the shape of your future. You've imagined two parallel lives - one with kids, one without - and neither feels completely right or wrong. Maybe you've felt pressure from family, from society, from your partner, or even from your own inner voice. Maybe you've tried to ignore the question, hoping the answer would come with time. Maybe it hasn't.
We made KidsOrNot for this moment.
This is a place for people who want to make a conscious, informed, and authentic decision about parenthood without being told what to do.
Whether you're 25 or 45, partnered or single, leaning toward kids or leaning away, what matters most is that you're asking the question thoughtfully. That's not a sign of indecision. It's a sign of depth.
Why we exist
Most of the internet still treats this question as a binary: either you're dying to have children, or you're set on being childfree. But the truth is, many people live in the space in between full of questions like:
- What if I regret it?
- What if I change my mind later?
- Can I build a meaningful life without children?
- How do I know what I really want?
These aren't questions that a personality quiz or a social media comment section can answer.
That's why we're building a platform that takes your decision seriously, one that respects your complexity and supports you with clarity, not noise.
What you'll find here
At KidsOrNot, we're developing a growing collection of tools and content designed to help you explore this question from all angles:
- Self-reflection tools to help you map your values, desires, fears, and priorities
- A guided decision-making framework that supports long-term thinking, not snap judgments
- Real stories from people who chose different paths: some had kids, some didn't, some still don't know
- Interviews and insights from therapists, coaches, and researchers on decision-making and identity
- Quizzes and exercises that don't tell you what to do, but help you understand what matters most to you
- A future community space for sharing, listening, and supporting one another without shame or pressure

Our goal is not to push you in one direction. It's to offer you a space where your truth can surface, where your voice gets louder than the noise around you.
Who we are
KidsOrNot was founded by Tassilo Weber, serial entrepreneur with a Master's degree in Philosophy, and human being who has been dealing with this question in depth on a personal level. The project began with a simple idea: What if there were a place that gave this decision the weight it deserves and treated the person asking with dignity and care?
We believe in informed choice. We believe in slow thinking. We believe in the right to not know yet. And we believe in helping people walk toward their own truth whatever it turns out to be.
We are developing a suite of tools and resources that help you make an informed decision whether to have children or not.
